Some Frederick County Government Offices To Be Closed On Election Day, Nov. 8th

They will all reopen on Nov. 9th at their usual times.

Frederick, Md (KM) Some Frederick County government agencies will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th..

The offices that will be closed are

1. Animal Control; call 301-600-1603 for more information, or go on line  to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/animalcontrol

2. Department of Social Services; details at www.dhr.maryland.gov.

3. The Health Department; call 301-600-1029, or go on line to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/healthldepept.

4. The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office.

County government agencies which will be open on Election Day are:

1. The Board of Elections. The Election Office and polling places  will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Drop boxes across the County will remain open for mail-in ballots until 8:00 PM. For more information, call 301-600-VOTE (8683), or go on line to www.FrederickCoutnyMD.gov/elections.

2. The Landfill at the  Reichs Ford Road Recycling Center will be open. Residential recycling collections will run at their normal schedule. The administrative offices will be closed on Election Day. For more information call 301-600-2960, or go on line to www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/recycle.

3. Frederick County Public Libraries will be open on Election Day. To find out about branch hours, go to www.fcpl.org.

4. TransIT Services will also be open and running on a  full service. For more information, call 301-600-2065, or visit www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/TransIT.

All County government offices are expected to be open on Wednesday, November 9th, at their scheduled times.
