Some Frederick County Government Offices To Be Closed On Election Day, Nov. 8th

They will all reopen on Nov. 9th at their usual times.

Frederick, Md (KM) Some Frederick County government agencies will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8th..

The offices that will be closed are

1. Animal Control; call 301-600-1603 for more information, or go on line  to

2. Department of Social Services; details at

3. The Health Department; call 301-600-1029, or go on line to

4. The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office.

County government agencies which will be open on Election Day are:

1. The Board of Elections. The Election Office and polling places  will be open from 7:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Drop boxes across the County will remain open for mail-in ballots until 8:00 PM. For more information, call 301-600-VOTE (8683), or go on line to

2. The Landfill at the  Reichs Ford Road Recycling Center will be open. Residential recycling collections will run at their normal schedule. The administrative offices will be closed on Election Day. For more information call 301-600-2960, or go on line to
