The driver crashed into a cement truck
Frederick, MD ( DG) – A Thurmont man was killed in a vehicle accident early Tuesday morning on Route 26 at Monocacy Boulevard in Frederick.
Maryland State Police responded to Route 26 at Monocacy Boulevard for two vehicle accident at around 6:30 AM.
Police say the driver of a Honda Civic, Blake Timothy Hipkins, was driving southbound on Monocacy Boulevard, while a cement truck was traveling eastbound on Route 26. Hipkins tried to cross over onto Route 26 but crashed into a cement truck at the intersection.
The roadway was shut down for several hours while police investigated the accident.
