Collection begins January 1st
FREDERICK, Md. (BW)- The Cozy Coat and Snuggly Sock Drive will accept donations from Jan. 1 to Jan. 9, 2023.
The Cozy Coat and Snuggly Sock Drive was organized by Liz Wilson and Christina Bonner to help keep homeless people and those without heat warm during the winter season.
Wilson said that it is important to provide the homeless with warm clothes because many shelters are at capacity.
Their goal is to collect 100 coats and 100 pairs of socks.
The coats donated can be new or gently used, but all socks donated need to be new.
Drop off locations in Maryland include Studio She located at 8450 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City and Bloom Saloon located at 1502 S Main St. Suite 104 in Mount Airy.
A drop off location in West Virginia is Fuzzy Dog Books & Music located at 201 E. Washington St. in Charles Town.
