Two Arrested for Murder Of 41-Year-Old Woman In Frederick

Frederick, Md. (DG) – A woman was stabbed to death on New Year’s Eve in Frederick, and police have arrested two people for the crime.

Frederick Police responded to the 400 block of W. 7th St. at around 4:45 AM on December 31st for a woman who had been stabbed. Life-saving efforts were given, but the woman was later pronounced dead. The victim was identified his 41-year-old Mary Alice Seward.

Detectives investigating the murder were able to determine the crime took place in the 200 block of Linden Avenue. They conducted numerous interviews, and collected digital and physical evidence that led to the arrest of two suspects from Union Bridge, Maryland.

Ruben Terod Williams has been charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, first degree assault, and second degree assault. Erin Elizabeth Davis has been charged with accessory to first degree murder, and accessory to second degree murder.

Both are being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.

Police Chief Jason Lando released this statement:

“I am beyond impressed with the efforts of our officers, detectives, and our crime scene personnel, who worked around the clock this New Years holiday to bring Ms. Seward’s killers to Justice, our hearts are with the Seward family this holiday season after their tragic loss. Hopefully knowing these suspects are now in custody will bring them some sense of peace.”
