Frederick County Executive Chief Of Staff Denies Child Abuse Allegations

County Executive says she has confidence in her Chief of Staff’s abilities.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Executive’s Chief of Staff is denying charges of child abuse. Chelsea Kadish tells the Frederick News-Post that there has been a conflict between her husband and his ex-wife, Alecia Frisby Trout. Frisby Trout called police in July, accusing Kadish of child abuse. But Frisby Trout tells the newspaper she is doing what is best for her children.

Kadish was indicted in September on two counts of 2nd-degree child abuse and one count of 1st-degree assault which areĀ  felonies. The panel also charged her with three counts of 2nd-degree assault which are misdemeanors.

She is scheduled to go on trial in April. Kadish has entered a not-guilty plea.

In a statement to WFMD News, County Executive Jessica Fitzwater says she is aware of Kadish’s family situation and the court case, but remains confident in the abilities of her Chief of Staff.
