Frederick, Md (KM) Repair work is expected to begin next week on the Maryland 75 (Green Valley Road) bridge over Interstate 70 in the New Market area.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says the work will take place between 9:00 PM Monday, January 9th, and 3:00 PM, Tuesday January 10th weather permitting.   MDOT SHA crews will repair the depressions on the roadway surface, and apply a new layer of asphalt.

The northbound lane of Maryland 75 will be closed while the work is underway

As repair work takes place, MDOT SHA says traffic on the northbound lanes of Route 75 will be detoured. Motorists heading northbound on Md. 75 will be detoured prior to the bridge on to eastbound I-70. They will get on the Md. 27 (Ridge Road) exit to get on to I-70 westbound and back on to Md. 75.

The work will be done by the Frederick shop of MDOT SHA. Electronic signs, barrels and cones will be set up to alert drivers about the closure and guide them through the detour.
