He’s charged with sex abuse of a minor.

Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Grand Jury returned 11 indictments on Friday. One was against John Norman Staub, Jr., 51, of Thurmont. He is charged with sex abuse of a minor, 3rd-degree sex offense and 2nd-degree assault.
Staub was arrested in December,2022, for inappropriately touching his 12-year-old niece. The victim told the Department of Social Services that Staub inappropriately touched her on several occasions. Staub is currently being held without bond.
The Grand Jury also returned these indictments:
*Co-defendants Erica B. McDannell, 27, of Chambersburg, Pa., and Hayley Ann Schwartz, 23, of Hagerstown, Md. Both are charged with possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession of ten grams or more of marijuana; possession with intent to distribute and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and possession of tetrahydrocannabinol for an incident which occurred on November 1st, 2022.
*Brian Wayne Shawley, 55, of Stahlstown, Pa., who is charged with sex abuse of a minor for incidents which occurred between January 1st, 2022 to October 13th, 2022.
*Gilson Andres, 21, of Frederick, Md. who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and reckless endangerment for a an incident which occurred on December 18th, 2022.
*Walter R. Deodanes-Soriano, 22, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with sex abuse of a minor and 3rd-degree sex offense for an incident which occurred on September 8th, 2020.
*Guisheng Fang, 57, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree sex offense, 4th-degree sex offense, 2nd-degree assault, doing massage therapy without a license, prostitution and four counts of running a prostitution business for incidents which occurred between August 17th, 2022 to November 1st, 2022.,
*David Eutah Fultz, 34, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and reckless endangerment for an incident which occurred on December 13th, 2022.
*David Burkhard Blank, 60, of Walkersville, Md., who is charged with two counts of 1st-degree assault, and one count each of 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm in a felony and theft between $100 and $1500 for an incident which occurred on December 14th, 2022.
*Divad A. Wright, 27, of Frederick, Md., who is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property less than $1000 for an incident which occurred on December 5th, 2022.
The Grand Jury Indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.
The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office says an indictment is a charging document alleging criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
