Frederick, Md (KM) Road repairs will begin on Sunday night on southbound Md. 75 (Green Valley Road) just prior to the bridge over Interstate 70 in the New Market area.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says crews will close southbound Route 75 near the span over I-70  on Sunday, January 15th at 7:00 PM. Personnel from the Frederick MDOT SHA shop will repair the depressions in the road, and apply a new layer of asphalt. The work is expected to be completed by  6:00 AM  Monday, January 16th, weather permitting.

Motorists using southbound Md. 75 will be detoured prior to the bridge over I-70. Traffic will be diverted to I-70 westbound, and then Md. 144 (Old National Pike) to get on to eastbound I-70 and then back to Md. 75.

MDOT SHA says it will use electronic signs, barrels and cones to alert motorists around the closure and guide them through the detour. Diners are urged to stay alert and use caution.
