The driver of a Chevy Cruz killed after hitting the back of a tractor trailer
Myersville, MD (DG) – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened on I-70 westbound Monday night.
Troopers from the Frederick Barrack responded to 70 westbound near the Myersville Rest Stop at 8:30 PM for a serious accident.
After arriving on scene, police found a Chevrolet Cruze involved in an accident with a tractor trailer. The driver of the Chevrolet, Tracy Lynne Trite, 40, of Smithsburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Their investigation revealed Trite was driving the Chevrolet when she hit the rear of the tractor trailer in the right lane on I-70 Westbound.
The accident remains under investigation.
