Police allege he solicited minors for child pornography.
Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick Police have charged a man with 16 counts related to possession of child pornography, and soliciting of child pornography from minors. Evan John Cain, 36, of Riverdale was arrested on January 26th. 2022.
Authorities say in November, 2022, the Major Crimes Division received word about a man soliciting minors for child pornography. Detectives began an investigation and identified Cain as the suspect. Working with the State’s Attorney’s Office, and the Child Advocacy Center, Frederick Police were able to gather evidence which brought charges against Cain.
Following an appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Cain was released on $25,000 unsecured personal bond.
In addition to the State’s Attorney’s Office and the Child Advocacy Center, Frederick Police were also assisted in this investigation by the FBI under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network.
