Cause Of Fire At A Detached Garage In Washington County Under Investigation

No one was injured, but two dogs perished in the fire.

Keedysville, Md (KM) The cause of a building fire in Washington County Friday night remains under investigation.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says aqt 8:17 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to the 18422 Mansfield Road in Keedysville for a detached garage on fire with an extension into the home.

They spent 90-minutes bringing the flames under control.

Damage is estimated at $100,000 to the structure, and $50,000 to the contents. There were no injuries, but two dogs perished in the fire.

Residents are being assisted by family members and the Red Cross.
