The death toll in Turkey and Syria is on the rise following a powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake. Over 600 are now reported to have been killed after the quake that was centered in south central Turkey and felt as far away as Lebanon and Israel.
In Tennessee, Senators London Lamar and Joe Towns, Jr. have introduced a bill that would make “Super Bowl Monday” a holiday. It wouldn’t be an extra day off, though. Instead, the new holiday would replace Columbus Day. If approved, this would be a change only citizens of the great state of Tennessee would get to enjoy…but it’s a start…and many think it sounds like a more than fair trade-off.
