MDOT SHA Crews To Remove Litter From I-70 In Frederick County On Tuesday Morning

The left lane will be closed.

Frederick, Md (KM) For motorists who travel Interstate 70 in the Frederick area, here’s a heads up;. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says starting at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, crews will be picking up litter along I-70 between Exit 52 (US Routes 15 and 340), and Exit 53 (I-270)..

MDOT SHA says the left lane will be closed in that area to allow personnel to pick up the trash, and clear brush to improve sight lines for motorists. Traffic will get by in the right lane.

The clean up project is expected to be completed by 1:00 PM.

This is part of Operation Clean Sweep Maryland. MDOT SHA says it will double the frequency of litter pick up and mowing along Maryland’s roads.
