Frederick County Board Of Education Approves $330,000 Grant For Early Childhood And Family Education

The Board approved the grant unanimously

Frederick, Md. (BW)- The Frederick County Board of Education unanimously approved a $330,000 grant to add a Judy Center Early Learning Hub to Tuscarora Elementary School.

Judy Centers are designed to help prepare children under five year old for Kindergarden, as well as support families in the education process.

Services offered through Judy Centers include adult education, parenting classes, developmental and health screenings, family engagement activities, early intervention identification and playgroups.

Judy centers are placed in title schools across the state. There are currently 85 locations in Maryland, five in Frederick County.
