Both were approved Tuesday by the County Council.
Kelli Goetz Deborah Carpenter
Frederick, Md (KM) In a unanimous vote on Tuesday, the Frederick County Council approved Kelli Goetz as the new director of the Division of Family Services. She had been serving as Acting Director of the Division since April 8th.
The Division of Family Service was previously known as the Division of Citizens Services, and includes the Child Advocacy Center, the Family Partnership and Office of Children and Families.
Goetz’s appointment takes effect on July 29th.
The Council also unanimously approved the hiring of Deborah Carpenter as the Director of Planning and Permitting. She serves in a similar position in Charles County, and spent 25 years with the Department of Planning and Land Management in Garrett County, working her GIS Specialist to Director.
Carpenter’s appointment takes effect on August 14th.
Both candidates were appointed by the County Executive and approved by the Council.
