Carroll County Barn Completely Destroyed By Fire

It was a total loss.

Westminster, Md. (BW)- A Wooden Barn in Carroll County was completely destroyed by a fire on Sunday, August 6.

At around 8:53 a.m. crews from the Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department responded to the fire located at 1950 Running Brooke Drive in Westminster and spent around 45 minutes to control the flames.

It was a one alarm fire and 65 firefighters were dispatched to the scene.

The barn was a total loss. 48 pigs and one cow were killed in the fire.

The owner of the barn is identified as Richard Hodiak.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
