Dog Returned In Good Condition Following Theft

The dog was taken from a home in Loudon County, Va.

Leesburg, Va (KM) Two women have been charged in connection with a dog-napping case in Leesburg, Virginia. According to DC News Now, Dabryn Norris., 22, of Brambletown and Taylor Ward, 22, of Leesburg, were taken into custody earlier this week.

Norris is charged with stealing an animal, breaking and entering, conspiracy to steal an animal and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering. Ward is charged with conspiracy to commit breaking and entering and conspiracy to steal an animal. All of these chargers are felonies, authorities say.;

Leesburg Police say the dog, Gelato, is a two-year-old Cane Corso Pitbull mix. who was taken from the owner’s home on July 12th. The victim told officers no one was home at the time,. and nothing else was taken. including a second dog who was inside the home.

Police say they learned Ward had previously owned Gelato before she voluntarily surrendered it last year.

Gelato was handed over to officials on Friday, July 28th in good condition. and is now in the hands of its owners. .

Norris and Ward have both have been released from the Loudon County Adult Detention Center on $5,000 bond each, DC News Now reports.
