Westminster, Md (KM) Repair work is expected to begin this Friday on the ramp at northbound MD 97 to westbound MD 140 in Westminster.
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says crews will working on the ramp over the weekends of August, 11th and August 18th. The ramp will be closed at those times from Friday at 9:00 PM to Monday at 5:00 AM to allow personnel to pour new concrete on the ramp. MDOT SHA says this will allow the concrete to come up to the necessary strength.
The contractor for this project, MIM Construction of Mount Airy, will use variable message boards, signs and barrels to guide traffic through the area.
The project is expected to be completed by Monday, August 21st weather permitting, says MDOT SHA.
