Frederick County Seeks Public Input On Frederick-to-Urbana Pedestrian & Bicycle Connection

Two community meetings are scheduled later this month.

FREDERICK, Md. – The public is invited to attend a community meeting about the West Frederick Library Branch, which is slated to be constructed at Hillcrest Park. Staff will share information on the project’s timing and phases. There will be an opportunity for the public to speak during the meeting. The community meeting begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14, at Hillcrest Elementary School’s cafeteria.

Hillcrest Elementary School is located at 1285 Hillcrest Drive in Frederick. Parking is available on site. The school also can be reached by Transit Connector routes 10, 50, and 51, with stops on Hillcrest Drive at McCain Drive (10, 50) and Riggs Court (10, 51). Buses remain fare free.

Spanish interpreters will be on hand. Anyone needing an interpreter is asked to email Sandra Sánchez [email protected] at [email protected] [email protected] by 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, to ensure enough equipment is available. American Sign Language interpreters will be on hand.
