MDOT SHA Says Road Work To Begin Thurs. On Md 26 In Frederick County

Single lane closures expected.

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Work is expected to begin on Thursday to improve the pavement on about two-and-a-half miles of Md. 26 (Liberty Road) in Frederick County.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says crews will be milling, patching, repaving and restriping Libertytown Road between Clemsonville Road and New Windsor Road (Md 31). . Motorists can expect single-lane closures Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

MDOT SHA says the contractor, Francis O. Day of Rockville, will use signs, barrels, cones, flaggers and arrow boards to safely guide drivers through work zone. Motorcyclists should use extra caution  when driving on uneven pavement during this resurfacing project.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-October, weather permitting.
