Lightning struck the back deck of the home.
Finksburg, Md. (BW)- A house in Carroll County was struck by lightning Saturday, Sept 9, causing a fire.
Approximately 65 firefighters from the Gamber Volunteer Fire Department responded to 4151 Louisville Road in Finskburg around 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
It took firefighters around 40 minutes to control the blaze.
A dog was rescued from the home. Nobody was injured.
The total damage is estimated at $400,000.
