Frederick County Health Department Provides Free Overdose Response Training

Additional outreach will be done in Frederick throughout the day

Frederick, Md. (BW)- The Frederick County Health Department will provide free overdose response training and resources on Thursday, Sept 14 as part of the first “Appalachian Save a Life Day”.

From 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. the Health department will provide free training as well as naxolene, fentanyl testing strips and disposable breathalyzers along Carroll Creek near the C Burr Arts Public Library and on the Carroll Creek Ampitheater.

All trainings will be taught by Peer Recovery Specialists and other harm reduction staff.

13 states in the Appalachian region are participating in “Save a Life Day”.
