New Jersey man with murderFrederick, Md. (DG)- Police are investigating a suspicious death after a woman was found deceased inside of a tractor trailer.The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Costco Distribution Center at around 1:30 AM Sunday morning in Monrovia for a welfare check. They received a call that a truck driver seemed to be under the influence and broke a window out of his truck.When deputies arrived, they determined the man was under the influence. He was argumentative and did not want to speak with police. The man tried to flee the parking lot, but police put down stop sticks, and he came to a stop.The man refused to get out of his truck and deputies used OC spray through an open window. Deputies entered the cab, and used their tazers to detained the suspect.While deputies were inside of the cab, they found a woman dead on the floor board of the vehicle. Her identity has not been revealed pending next of kin notification.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the death. The suspect was identified as Matthew Watley,46, of Sicklerville, New Jersey. He has been charged with 1st and 2nd degree murder.
