The event is put on by the Association of Nigerians in Frederick.
Frederick, Md. (BW)- The 14th annual Nigerian Festival is taking place at Waverley Elementary School on Saturday, Sept 30 from 4 to 8 p.m.
The festival will showcase many aspects of Nigerian culture including music, dance, clothing and food.
There will be cultural performances, a fashion show, and a presentation on Nigeria. Catered foods include jollof rice, fufu, egusi soup, and a variety of fish, chicken and beef.
The event is open to people of all ages. The cost to attend is $45 for adults, $10 for children ages 7-17 and free for kids under 7.

The Association of Nigerians in Frederick was started in 2005 and has three key pillars, 1) Cultural Preservation and Promotion, 2) Community, and 3) Connection.
This festival celebrates Nigerian Independence Day, which is on Oct 1.
