Thanksgiving Day Closures For Frederick County Government

All offices will reopen on Mon., Nov. 27th at their regular hours.

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick County Government Offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23rd, and on Friday, November 24th.

The Animal Shelter on Rosemont Avenue is scheduled to be closed on both days, but Animal Control Officers will be on routine duty.

The Landfill on Reichs Ford Road, along with the Transfer Station, the Recycling Center, Citizens Convenience Center and the Yard Waste and Composting facilities will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd,  but will reopen on Friday, November 24th.  The hours  will be  from 7:00 AM, until  4:30 PM

Frederick County Public Libraries will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th. Curbside pickup and telephone reference will not be available.

TransIT of Frederick County’s offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd, and all services will be canceled. The offices will continue to be closed on Friday, November 24th. TransIT services and regional transportation will follow a modified schedule.

Other agencies which will be closed during the Thanksgiving holiday period are the Board of Elections, Department of Social Services, the Health Department, the Liquor Board, the State’s Attorney’s Office and the District and Circuit Courts.

All County Government Offices will reopen on Monday, November 27th at their regularly scheduled hours.
