Phase One of improvements have been completed.
Frederick, Md (KM) Gas House Pike at Monocacy Boulevard is scheduled to reopen on Monday, December 4th.
Frederick City officials say Phase One improvements in that area added a second left hand turn lane on west bound Gas House Pike, and a second left hand turn on southbound Monocacy Boulevard. Temporary pavement markings and asphalt will be in place at the intersection until final paving and markings can be completed in the spring.
Phase Two of the project will begin in the spring. . It will include the widening of southbound Monocacy Boulevard to extend the roadway to left-turn capacity. The work will only result in lane closures, no road closures.
