Frederick Police Arrest And Charge Suspect In Burglary

The suspect has been released on bond from the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.

Frederick, Md. (BW)- Frederick Police arrested and charged a man suspected of several burglaries and attempted burglaries on Thursday, Dec 28.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Thomas Johnson Drive at around 4:30 a.m. Thursday for a reported burglary.

The suspect was located on Thomas Johnson Drive and taken into custody.

He is identified as 38-year-old Matthew Bagby of Frederick.

The employee of a business saw an individual attempting to pry open the front doors of the establisment on surveillance footage. Following Bagby’s arrest, the employee confirmed that Bagby was the individual seen on the footage.

It is also believed that Bagby was involved in previous burglaries and attempted burglaries at the same establishment on Dec 6 and Dec 9 of this year.

He has been charged with two counts of 2nd Degree burglary.

He was released from the Frederick County Adult Detention Center on bond.
