The bite occurred in the Willow Brook community.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick County Health Department is seeking information on a dog which bit a person last Saturday evening. The incident took place on George Thomas Drive in the Willow Brook community in Frederick.
The dog is described as small in size, and light brown in color. It was not accompanied by anyone at the time.
The Health Department says the dog will need to be quarantined for ten days. and that can take place in the owner’s home. If the dog is determined to be in good health after the ten-day period, it can resume normal activities, and the person who was bitten can avoid receiving, expensive, post-exposure rabies vaccinations.
Anyone who has information about this dog or its owner is asked to contact Frederick County Animal Control at 301-600-1544.
The Health Department is urging anyone who has been bitten or scratched by a dog or cat to obtain contact information from the owner so that appropriate action can be taken. Report any bites to Frederick County Animal Control at 301-600-1544. The Health Department says report any human exposure to Community Health Services at 301-600-3342.
