Two Suspects Arrested For Armed Robbery At 7-Eleven Convenience Stores In Montgomery County

Gaithersburg, Md. (BW)- Two individuals have been arrested and charged for robbing two 7-Eleven convenience stores in Montgomery County on Jan 8 and Jan 10.

35-year-old Stephen Oates Junior and 29-year-old Katrice Wood are suspected of robbing the 7-Eleven in the 14100 block of Georgia Avenue on Jan 8 just before 3 p.m. as well as robbing the 7-Eleven in the 11300 block of Lockwood Drive on Jan 10 around 4:20 p.m.

The suspects were located and arrested on Thursday, Jan 11 in Laurel around 10 a.m.

The preliminary investigations reveal that the two suspects entered the stores wearing masks, displayed a handgun and demanded employees not to move. The suspects reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as well as scratch off lottery tickets and the employees’ cell phones. They fled in a Ford Expedition.

Oates and Wood are being charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, assault, theft and firearms offenses.

They are being held without bond.
