Two men arrested for drug charges after being pulled over in Carroll County

Two men were arrested in Carroll County after a traffic stop on Saturday.

Carroll County, Md. (DG)- The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is reporting at 3:50 PM a deputy pulled over a Ford Mustang in the 1200 block of Baltimore Boulevard traveling at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles using the right turn lane. The driver’s license was also suspended.

There were also several indicators of drug use observed. A K-9 was called to the scene and when the driver and passenger got out of the vehicle – police found a loaded hand gun, drugs, paraphernalia, a scale and cash.

Both men were arrested. The driver – 28-year-old Eric Lorenzo Purvey from Hanover, Pennsylvania and passenger – 55-year-old William Iser from Westminster were charged with numerous offenses including possession with intent to distribute and illegal possession of a firearm.
