Suspect In A Bethesda Burglary Arrested Last Week In Montgomery County

He’s currently being held without bond.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) A suspect has been charged in connection with a residential burglary last week in Bethesda.  Walter Lee Wright, 67, who has an unconfirmed address, is charged with 1st-degree burglary and related offenses.

Montgomery County Police say on Thursday, February 1st, 2024, at around 10:35 PM, officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Dorset Avenue for a burglary in progress. The victim was calling police while she was locked in her bathroom, and the suspect was walking through her home.

Officers arrived and saw the suspect identified as Wright in front of the victim’s residence carrying some property.  He ran away, but was later caught by police in the area of Deal Place and Cumberland Avenue.

Wright is being held without bond.
