Homicide Investigation Continues In Brunswick

Police say they continue to accept citizen tips.

Brunswick, Md (KM) A homicide in Brunswick last month remains under investigation.

Police say on Monday, January 22nd, 2024, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Ninth Avenue for a report of a deceased person. They found Tammy Coates, 61, deceased in her residence. Her body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The cause of death was ruled a homicide, but authorities did not released the manner of death.

Brunswick Police say this remains an active investigation, and authorities continue to pursue several leads. Anyone who has information which could help is asked to contact the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, or the Brunswick Police Department.
