Smithsburg, Md (KM) There were no injuries reported from a house fire in Washington County on Wednesday morning.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office says at around 8:40 AM, fire fighters were dispatched to 23226 Fruit Tree Lane for a two-story, brick farm house on fire. They spent 20-minutes bringing the flames under control. Damage is estimated at $5,000 .
The Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire originated in the interior on the second floor, but the cause remains under investigation.
The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
