He solicited two other people to kill another man.
Baltimore, Md (KM) Sentence was handed down Tuesday in US District Court in Baltimore to an Ellicott City man for his role in a murder for hire conspiracy. Jourdain Larose, 28, also known as “JBlacc,” was given 40 years in prison followed by three-years supervised release. Larose pleaded guilty to the use and discharge of a firearm resulting in death.
The US Attorney’s Office for Maryland says Larose wanted to kill Juan Ross, 23, of Columbia because he believed the victim was cooperating with police Ross was gunned down on October 4th, 2020 in Columbia.
One of the co-conspirators, Tyrik Braxton,27, of Baltimore, who is also known as “Son-Son,” pleaded guilty to discharging a firearm during a crime of violence resulting in death. He is awaiting sentencing. Federal prosecutors say he could be sent off to prison for 20 to 25 years.
The other co-conspirator, Daquante Themas, 21, of Baltimore, was sentenced on January 11th, 2023 to 35 years in federal prison for the same offense.
The US Attorney’s Office says this case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods, which brings together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime, and make neighborhoods safer for others. It’s the centerpiece of the US Department of Justice’s violent crime reduction efforts.
