Investigation Continues Into Armed Robbery Of Chipotle Restaurant

Montgomery County Police have posted video surveillance of the incident on their website.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police are continuing their investigation of an armed robbery earlier this month.

On Sunday evening, February 3rd at 9:15, officers responded to the Chipotle in the 7600 block of Old Georgetown Road. They learned that a man entered the store, and walked up to the counter to place an order. He put his hand into his backpack, and demanded the employee empty the cash register. That person ran away and called police.

The suspect jumped over the counter, and tried to open the register by himself  without any success. He then pointed a handgun at another employee and demanded that person open the register and give him the money. The employee complied and the suspect fled.

He’s described as an African-American male, 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall. .
