Applications Are Open For the Youth Conservation Corps Program In Frederick County

This is a summer program for high school students.

Thurmont, Md. (BW)- The National Park Service is accepting applications for the 2024 Youth Conservation Corps at Catoctin Mountain Park through April 1.

This program is for high school students ages 15-18.

The program lasts eight weeks over the summer, from June 17 to Aug 9.

Students will be paid $17.50 an hour for 40 hours of work a week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Tasks will include trail trimming and rehabilitation, vegetation and fish monitoring, footbridge and wayside cleaning, painting and more.
