Fire Heavily Damages House In Frederick

No one was injured,  but fire fighters rescued a pet hedgehog.

Frederick, Md KM) There were no injuries from a house fire in Frederick  Monday morning.

At around 9:20 AM, , fire fighters were dispatched to the 700 block of Monarch Ridge Road for a house on fire. Fire and Rescue officials say heavy  fire  was showing from the front porch, and a rapid intervention dispatch was requested. The fire went two alarms.

Interior crews brought the fire under control on the first floor of the home, and then hit the areas where the fire went to the second floor. The entire fire was brought under control  at around 9:48 AM .

Two dogs escaped from the house unharmed, but fire fighters had to rescue a pet hedgehog.

All occupants were able to get out safely.

The County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
