Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man is charged with five counts of possession of child pornography. The Sheriff’s Office says Byran Peter Lowery, 37, was arrested on Wednesday at a home in the 5900 block of Ramseur Circle in Frederick.   Deputies served a search and seizure warrant at that location.

He was transported to the Adult Detention Center for a booking. Lowery posted a $2500 unsecured personal bond, according to the Maryland Judiciary Case website.

On February 12th, 2024, the Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Section received a cyber tip that showed indecent acts of child pornography. Through an investigation, a deputy found a total of five child pornography videos which had been downloaded by Lowery.

The Sheriff’s Office says a part of its Internet Crimes Against Children Section’s duty is to investigate cyber tips reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It also works with the Frederick County Cyber Crimes Task Force. Their mission is to investigate, apprehend and prosecute internal sexual predators who exploit children through the internet and technology consistent with the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force standards and procedures, according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
