New Windsor, Md (KM) A two-story home in the New Windsor area caught fire Monday afternoon.
At around 4:22 PM, fire fighters from Frederick and Carroll Counties responded to the 10700 block of McKinstry Mill Road where they found heavy fire. Fire officials were told a fire on the deck spread to the home. The fire went to a second alarm, and a tanker task force was requested.
The sole occupant of the home got out safely, and there was also a report of ammunition stored in the home, fire officials say. .
Fire fighters were able to get the fire under control at 4:38 PM, and had the fire extinguished just before 5:00 PM
The occupant of the home was treated for a minor injury.
