WV Man One Of 14 Arrested In April In Frederick County

They were charged mostly with drug offenses.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Morgantown, West Virginia man and 13 other people were arrested by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office during the month of April. Donald Denton Hanlin, 44, is charged with wearing, carrying and transporting a weapon; using a gun during a commission of a crime; possession with intent to distribute cocaine and opium; possession of cocaine and opium and their derivatives; possession of synthetic manufactured narcotics; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He’s currently being held without bond at the Adult Detention Center.

On April 11th and the 25th, Patrol Operations Deputies and Narcotics Investigation Section personnel conducted a series of operations in the county. They resulted in the arrest of 14 individuals including one for driving under the influence. Authorities also confiscated 1.5 grams of methamphetamine, 5.1 capsules of Fentanyl; 33 grams of cocaine; 11 Oxycontin pills; 16.4 grams of heroin, and one handgun.

Authorities say this operation was assisted by members of the Fire and Rescue Services Division’s Community Outreach and  Support Team (COAST) which links individuals with addictions to available treatment and recovery services in the community. Four individuals connected with COAST during these operations, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
