House Fire In Washington County Displaces Residents

No injuries are reported.

Hagerstown, Md (KM) The cause of a house fire in Washington County Wednesday evening is under investigation.

At around 6:40 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to 19524 Portsmouth Road in Hagerstown for a two-story, single family home on fire. They spent 12-minutes bringing the flames under control There were no injuries.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the damage is estimated at $25,000 to the structure, and $5,000 to the contents. . The fire originated in a second-floor bedroom.

The home’s occupants were displaced by the fire, and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
