The County Executive is proposing a 4.7% property tax rate increase for fiscal year 2025.
Frederick, Md. (BW)- The public will be able to provide comment on a proposed property tax hike at the Frederick County Council’s legislative meeting on Tuesday, May 7.
The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. in Winchester Hall at 12 East Church Street. Public comment for raising the property tax rate will begin around 7 p.m.
County Executive Jessiuca Fitzwater detailed a 4.7% property tax increase in her proposed fiscal year 2025 budget. If adopted, the increase would begin on July 1.
The Council needs to adopt a budget by May 31.
