Silver Spring, Md (KM) A three-vehicle crash on the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County Wednesday morning left one person dead. State Police say Boris Jose Bonilla. 30, of Rockville, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Troopers from the Rockville Barrack responded to the Beltway at Georgia Avenue at around 3:00 AM. A preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda Accord struck a Jeep Wrangler and a Honda Civic while entering the Beltway from Georgia Avenue.
The drivers from all three vehicles, and two passengers in the Civic were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Bonilla was a passenger in the Accord.
State Police say the Inner Loop of the Beltway in that area was closed for several hours while troopers conducted their investigation.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Maryland State Police Crash Team.
