An event is scheduled for Saturday
Frederick, Md (KM) It’s a chance for residents to thank local veterans for their service. Frederick County Government and other organizations are hosting a Veterans Appreciation Day event on Saturday, July 20th from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at the Prospect Center at 585 Himes Avenue in Frederick. .
The event will feature music, food, entertainment and door prizes. But it will have an information fair and workshops for guests to find out about local resources available for military veterans.
There are approximately 17,000 veterans who live in Frederick County, according to county government.
In addition to Frederick County Government, this Veterans Appreciation Day event is also sponsored by the Division of Aging and Independence, and the County’s Veterans Advisory Council.
