Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police say the body of a missing six-year-old autistic boy was found deceased on Sunday afternoon. Fawzan Hassan was recovered from a lake at Boher Park in Gaithersburg, and has been positivity identified.
Fawzan was at the park on Saturday afternoon enjoying a community event when he went missing.
Montgomery County Police Officers, Gaithersburg Police, the Maryland State Police and volunteers helped in the search of Fawzan. Drones were also used in the search.
The investigation into this incident is being handled by the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division.
The boy’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause of death.
