Suspect Arrested For Murder In Montgomery Village On Monday

Police believe it appears to be  an isolated incident.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) A suspect has been arrested in connection with a homicide in Montgomery Village on Monday. Oliver Alexis Perez Fierro, 20. of Montgomery Village, is charge with 1st-degree murder, and use of a handgun in a crime of violence. He has been taken into custody.

Police say on Monday, August 12th at around 11:38 AM officers were dispatched to the 19300 block of Club House Road for a shooting.   They found a 21-year-old man suffering  apparent gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save his life, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name will be released after next-of-kin are notified, police say.

Detectives responded and processed the scene, and interviewed witnesses. They developed Perez Fierro as a suspect. Authorities say after a warrant was secured, a search of his home was conducted, and evidence was recovered.

Police say this appears to be an isolated incident between the two men.

The investigation into this homicide  is continuing.
