Murder Suspect One Of Nine Indicted Friday By The Frederick County Grand Jury

These cases now move to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

Frederick, Md (KM) Nine indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury.

The panel charged Elijah Stephen Mboss, 22, of Frederick,

with 1st-degree murder and 2nd-degree murder for an incident which occurred on late Friday night, August 16th, 2024. . Police say Mboss and Tristan Mahoney, 23, got into an altercation in the 1000 block of Heather Ridge Drive. Mahoney was shot. He was taken to Frederick Health Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police apprehended Mboss following a traffic stop. They says Mboss was covered in blood at the time of the traffic stop. .

Also indicted on Friday was Rickilynn Nicole Dyer, 43, of Middletown, who is charged with possession of a large amount of fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl mixed with another drug; possession with intent to distribute cocaine; possession of fentanyl and possession of cocaine.

Dyer was arrested on August 14th, 2024 following a traffic stop on Interstate 70 near Monocacy Boulevard. At the time, police say she had a quantity of drugs in her vehicle, including 130 gelatin capsules, containing fentanyl and heroin, one bindle of heroin and fentanyl and three grams of crack cocaine..

Frederick Police says they leaned Dyer was procuring drugs in Baltimore and selling them on the streets of Frederick.

The Grand Jury handed down these other indictments.:

*Damien Andre Green, 30, of Frederick, who is charged with 1st-degree assault, and two counts of 2nd-degree assault for an offense which occurred on August 11th, 2024

*Grant  Manley Russell, 38, of Point of Rocks, who is charged with two counts of 1st degree assault, two counts of 2nd degree assault, and two counts of violation of probation for an offense which occurred on September 3rd, 2024.

*In a supplemental indictment, Arcelius D. Lyle, 57, of Hagerstown, is charged with attempted 2nd degree rape; 3rd degree sex offense; conspiracy to commit 3rd degree sex offense; conspiracy to commit sex abuse of a minor for an offense which occurred on July 10th, 2023

*Charles Leroy Ridgely, 58, of Hagerstown, who is charged 2nd degree child abuse and 2nd degree assault for an offense which occurred on July 1st, 2024.

*Michael Anthony Edwards, Jr., 39, of Frederick, who is charged with 1st degree child abuse, 1st degree assault and 2nd degree assault for an offense which occurred on August 27th, 2024.

*Logan Hakeem Young, 40, of Frederick, who is charged with 2nd degree rape, 1st degree assault, 2nd degree assault, and two counts of illegal possession of a regulated firearm for an offense which occurred on August 24th, 2024.

These indictments move these cases to the Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.

The Frederick County State’s Attorney’s Office reminds citizens that indictments are charging documents that allege criminal conduct, and all defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
