Frederick, Md (KM) A large number of residents attended a community meeting Wednesday night at Oakdale High School on the proposed Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project. That’s a 500-kilovolt electric transmission line which is proposed to pass through Baltimore and Carroll Counties, and end in Frederick County.
Representatives from the Public Service Enterprise Group which plans to build the line were expected to be there.
The project has generated a lot of controversy as the PSEG has not ruled out eminent domain to acquire the land it nees to build the line. .
But there’s good news for anyone who couldn’t attend the meeting. The Frederick County Government Channel says it will be recorded for later playback. Residents will also have the chance to view the recording which will be available in the county’s video archive. The archives can be accessed at (www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/FCgTV)
