Baltimore, Md (KM) A business which describes itself as a holistic wellness solutions company is coming to Washington County. The Governor’s Office has announced that SJ Incorporation will be opening a manufacturing plant at 24930 Reservoir Road in Cascade. It will lease 35,000 square feet at the Fort Ritchie property to make medicine and medical device components. Construction is expected to begin this year. The Governor’s Office says 300 new full times jobs will be created at the site over a four-year period.
“Today’s announcement brings manufacturing jobs and greater opportunities to Western Maryland, ” said Governor Wes Moore, in a statement. “Our state is a global destination for businesses looking to grow and expand, and we’re thrilled to count SJ Incorporation among the companies that make up our world-class pharmaceutical and health care ecosystems. And by building in Fort Ritchie, the development will anchor a community that is on the rise and central to Maryland’s strength.”
The company has offices in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. SJ Incorporation says it’s working to make health care accessible to all. It goes on to say it is focused on brining affordable medical products to underserved markets across the world. State officials say SJ Incorporation markets it own brand of product, and has “deep expertise” in manufacturing and logistics.

The Maryland Department of Commerce is working on a $1-million conditional loan for SJ through Advantage Maryland. Washington County is expected to provide a $100,000 conditional loan. State Officials say SJ Incorporation is eligible for Maryland’s Job Creation Tax Credit and One Maryland Tax Credit.
“This investment marks a major milestone in the revitalization of the Cascade community and affirms Washington County’s growing reputation as a prime location for direct investment in manufacturing,”: says Washington County Commissioners President John Barr, in a statement. “We’re proud to partner with the Maryland Department of Commerce to help bring this project to life.”
