The Frederick County Health Department urges residents to avoid the waters in that area.
Frederick, Md (KM) Residents are urged to avoid the water in Adamstown due a sewage overflow. The Frederick County Health Department says the affected waters include Adamstown Road and Mountville Road into Tuscarora Creek; an unnamed tributary near the railroad trucks in Adamstown; and Tuscarora Creek near Route 28.
Health officials say the water in that area should be avoided; no total immersion.
Anyone who comes into contact with this water should wash themselves thoroughtly with soap and warm water, especially before eating.
The Health Department says boating and fishing in these waters should be safe. Any fish from these waters that are consumed should be cleaned, scaled and cooked.
Pet owners are urged to keep their pets away from the water.
These waters should be avoided between now and June 9th, 2025. ..
